Lai Chau (Vietnamese: Lai Châu ; Hán tự: ) is a province in northwestern Vietnam. Lai Chau province is the most scarcely populated in Vietnam. It shares a border with China.
  • Principal City: Lai Châu (population c.55,000)
  • Communes: Muong Lay district, Le Loi quarter of Lai Châu Town, Than Uyen.
  • Major Economic Resources: Forestry/timber products.
  • Annual Average Temperature: 23 degrees Celsius.
  • Annual Average Rainfall: 2.5 m.

Districts

Lai Châu is divided into one town (Lai Châu) and five districts:
  • Mường Tè
  • Phong Thổ
  • Sìn Hồ
  • Tam Đường
  • Than Uyên
